 To apply an archetype to a planet dynamic first distill the archetype. For example, the comedian. You might be tempted to place the sun and Leo as the comedian. Comedians stand alone. Jesters - weren't just allowed to make fun of their Kings, they were ordered to. So imagine the humility, and objectification even in having your most prized possession, and think Saturn because Saturn rules this personality of boundariness, and end-of-timeness, and detachment. And you'll learn why James Gandolfini had humor as a capricorn moon, and why bob odenkirk's apathy turns playful in his mercury-saturn trine.

Beginner Pitfall: personalizing the archetype.

Essentiate the archetype. Don't personalize it. Personalities shift like water and sand; a comedian can be a black alien with an afro in the year 3032, or a form of lettering in 2026. The archetype is the essence. The jester, the alien, and the lettering all share in Saturn; in ambiguity, curiousness, detachment, mystery, non-personality and objectification.

Of course, Saturn alone doesn't make comedy. It's one sign of it that has to connect with the joyous planets, which is where we get a planet dynamic. 

For example, one can't say that the warrior goddess archetype is active if mars is in Aquarius only. But if the moon and Venus are conjuncting in Libra to trine to the mars aquarius we can say that she is active. 

There is a similar system in vedic astrology where the word "archetype" is replaced by the word "yoga."
